Desmond Kinch

Desmond Kinch founded Overseas Asset Management (Cayman) Ltd. (“OAM”) in 1989. OAM prides itself on providing its clients with superior risk-adjusted returns over a long time span that have beaten appropriate benchmark indices by a wide margin, while providing good value for money by charging investment management fees that are significantly lower than those typically charged by hedge funds. In 1998, OAM Asian Recovery Fund was launched and its NAV per share has increased roughly 12-fold, compounding at 13%/annum over 20 years. In 2002, OAM European Value Fund was launched and its NAV per share has increased roughly 5-fold, compounding at 10%/annum over 16 years in US Dollars.

Desmond is a CFA Charterholder and a past president of the CFA Society Cayman Islands, an affiliate chapter of the CFA Institute. Desmond has in the past served on several volunteer boards including as Deputy Chairman for the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands and as a Director for the National Trust for the Cayman Islands.
